As researchers baby equipment, and as parents of young children myself, my husband and I often wonder what car is recommended most of the seats. Having done the preliminary work, the review of the different types, brands and models, our answer is always the Britax Roundabout. This seat has all the features you want and your child without all the dough.

Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat Onyx Price

Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat Onyx Review
I recently purchased two Marathons; one for my almost three year old son and one for my eleven month old daughter. We own a Roundabout that we used for my son and I absolutely loved it, but he was outgrowing it so we decided to buy a larger seat. And now I love the Marathon CS I bought for him - it’s perfect and exactly what I wanted. This one, however, has a few details that I don’t love. The cover on this seat seems a little bit larger than the other and the velcro on the straps doesn’t line up exactly with the velcro on the cover, so the straps don’t stay out of the way very well. I am using this seat rear facing and I feel like it is very difficult to tighten it sufficiently. I am a firm believer in keeping kids rear facing as long as you can, but with this seat I feel like I should go ahead and turn her around so I can get a better fit with the straps.

Britax Chaperone Carrier, Savannah Price

Britax Chaperone Carrier, Savannah Best Buy
We bougtht his car seat to replace the baby trend seat we had from my daughter. My son hated to be in the carseat we tried so many things to try to make him happy when we finally broke down and bought a different carseat. The other car seats we have are Britax (Roundbouta nd Boulevard)and we and my daughter are vvery satisfied with them. So we decided that we would try this infant seat for our son. Its all about the seat, I think now. This seat is bigger then our older one and he seems to sit alittle more streched out like not so much crunched over like releaving some pressure on his little tummy. I think this helped him out since he suffers from acid reflux. The release for htis seat is on the head side of the seat as opposed to the foot which is nice but you have to lift the seat vertically straight up to release the seat. I find this seat is alittle difficult or awkward and a little heavy to carry. I have the one with the red and I like the colors and materials. I am overall very satisfied witht his seat. my little one is happy so I am happy.

Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat Onyx Review

Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat Onyx
I originally purchased this for my son who was still only 4 months because he hated his infant seat and cried all the time. He never cried once we got this and since he has grown and it is turned around. We bought two so my older daughter could have the comfy one too. They are great, durable, easily taken apart for cleaning accidents! We love these, I don’t know why I didn’t buy them the first time around, but now we know!

Feature

  • 5 point harness with patented Floating HUGS system and 4 harness heights
