With so many seats to choose out there its no wonder that it can become so confusing. Infant car seats, convertibles and finally the boosters. 20lb’s, 40lb’s 65lb’s Yikes! What’s a mother to do?
Well I’ll tell you what I did! I did my research and found that the Britax Marathon gave me more value and safety for my buck than any other car seat on the market. The Marathon is a Convertible Child Seat with LATCH that can be used rear facing for children 5 to 33 pounds and forward facing up to 65 pounds. The child’s height should be between 18 and 49 inches. Not to mention that your little ones are secured by a five point harness that displaces the energy evenly across their precious little bodies. The Marathon with its patented lock-off, versa-tether and latch belt make this the easiest and most secure seat to install. Even though I was not thrilled about the color choices for my little girl online. I chose the Ashley floral pattern SO CUTE!!! and found the best price of $219.99 offered at travelingtikes.com including shipping. Do yourself’s a favor and invest in your child’s safety. Customer Review: safety first
My wife says I’m a “safety nut” and this seat is great for our little one! We have the “Sapphire” and “Tiffany” patterns and enjoy them both.
Only two downsides noticed…(1) when making the transition to this seat, you’ll need to keep an eye when your child starts to go to sleep and make sure his/her head doesn’t tilt backwards too much and cause neck pain; instead, teach him/her to lean towards the safety padded side, and (2) the cup holders are hardly more than a small tray and not equipped to hold any drink we’ve tried thus far.
For us, safety is first priority, comfort second, with price and color selection next. Britax borders on the high end usually, but isn’t your little one worth it?

Customer Review: Britax really is the best!
We love this seat! We also have a Graco chair for one of our cars but this one is by far the best. The material is very plush and cushy. The head rest is the best. When my daughter falls asleep in the Graco seat her head would end up in her lap because there was no where to rest it. With the Britax this is no longer a problem. The head rest is super supportive and makes a great pillow. I cant say enough about this product. We love it. Its totally worth the extra money!

Customer Review: Nice Booster Seat
As the other reviews will tell you, wonderful car seat. My kids do peer around the head rest. However, they also sit back and it’s fabulous for sleeping. I too, wish Britax would deepen the cupholders. Everytime I turn a sharp corner, the cups go flying!
Customer Review: Easy install. Seems safer than others. But flimsy head piece.
Very well made product except for flimsy head piece. Not sure if the section was meant to be so mobile, but perhaps for safety reason in case it comes off in a crash? Nice texture, easy to clean, and my daughter, 4, loves it - feeling like a big kid without riding a short, non-supported booster seat. Unlike cheap plastic ones from Grecco, this one seems more luxurious (okay, at least better than Disney and corporate endorsement pictures to ruin the car interior.).

Customer Review: I own 4 of these and only have 2 children!
When my first child was born, we bought one of these for my vehicle and we bought one of the cheaper car seats (the Evenflow) for my husband’s vehicle for occasional use. This was a case of “you get what you pay for” for me. I love the Britax! It is easy to pop in and out (I use the latch system). My son is very comfortable in it and it is easy to get the cover off for cleaning. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my husband’s car because we couldn’t stand dealing with the other one. Now that my second child has arrived, and my first child is only two (still using his- and probably for a while yet) I already knew that I would be using this car seat for her as well. Crazy I know, but when you find a product that is convenient, I say you should spend the money.

This seat is versatile and safe and my daughter is very comfortable in it. It fits very young babies through preschool-age children and I think it’s a great bargain when you consider the cost & the safety rating against the number of years of use you’ll get from it. We have one in both of our vehicles. Well worth the money.

After trying out a Graco car seat with our first child, this car seat is a major improvment. The system for supporting the baby’s head is great for keeping the baby’s head in place while they are sleeping and I have no doubt it would be very beneficial in a crash as well. Additionally the seat is relatively light and compact (if that can be said of any car seat).
