This was a great car seat for about 6 months. My son was quite happy in it during the winter months. He seemed to get a bit sweaty in it once it warmed up outside. He grew fast, so we could only keep him in it till he was 6 months old.
Customer Review: Very nice car seat.
My husband and I really liked this car seat. It easily snaps in and out of the base, and it does make an audible click, contrary to another review saying that it doesn’t. If yours doesn’t click when placing it in the base, you are probably doing something wrong. It was nice to be able to keep our daughter in the seat while running errands instead of having to constantly strap and unstrap her. Especially since most babies tend to fall asleep in the car.

Seat has good features and is generally easy to install. The strap features are well designed and fits our 16 pound baby well with plenty of room to grow. The seat is very large and does not fit well in older cars without the new style anchors.

I bought this for my 4 year old because I wanted him in a 5 point harness that he could use as he continues to grow. It is very comfortable for him and I feel very secure having him in it.

This seat is big, but it fits in my Subaru Outback. My son wasn’t big enough for a booster, but he was too tall for his other Britax. I feel safe having him in the 5 point harness and he loves his seat. It was easy to put in, but it is heavy so I wouldn’t want to keep moving it from car to car.

I searched and searched for a car seat when it became apparent the baby seat for my little one was not working for him (He got hot and sweaty and got a rash from it). He needed one that would allow his skin to breath. This seat is great! He sits up high so he can see out the windows, he doesn’t get too hot in it, and it is easy to install both with the latch system and the regular seat belt (we transfer from my car to grandma’s every morning). If I would have known I would have used this seat from the very beginning! It fits in my car and my mom’s just fine (Sportage and Tuscon). Don’t mess around with the little baby seats - just get this one! It may seem expensive, but you will not have to buy another one until they are about 5 and ready for a booster.

We were not really able to use it rear facing for our 13 month old daughter in the BMW 325 (E46) - there was no space for her legs between the seat and the rear seat. However, it was just perfect forward facing. She is always quite happy in it - the straps only occasionally get twisted and even then are quite easy to sort out. I like the added stability from the top tethers. Quite happy with this seat

This is a great product. It is probably the best car seat on the market. The Marathon is nice, but the Boulevard has the adjustable headpiece which means that you never have to rethread the shoulder straps through the seat as your child grows. We have 3 of these seats and we love them.

We researched this and bought it for our grand baby, whom hated to go in her previous car seat. Her poor mom came to visit us and her nerves were frazzled after an 11 hour ride with an upset baby. Immediately, after being placed in this car seat, she was very content and her mom can even put her in it at home, something she couldn’t do with her other car seat. This is a GREAT car seat!! It is very safe, easy to install and the baby likes it too!

We purchased this car seat back in 2004. (This is written in 2008.) Our daughter has used it almost daily since then, including on those really long family trips. She’s almost 5 yrs old now and nearly 40 lbs. (The max weight limit.) We will be purchasing another Britax. (Most likely the Britax Regent for youth.)

Customer Review: Great seat, but not for older cars!
I love our Britax Roundabout, but my son is too big for it now. We purchased the Frontier and had to return it. If you have an older car that does not have the latch system or a seat that does not recline do not purchase this seat. Even the car seat installation experts could not get this seat installed in my 1996 Dodge Stratus. They told me to either get a new car or a different seat. We purchased the Graco Nautilus and it installed great. Although it is not as comfortable and not as high quality as the Frontier. Sure wish a new car was possible.
Customer Review: Not entirely impressed
We are big fans of Britax products. They are rated some of the safest and they are not only durable but easy to use and install… Until I met this one. My opinion may change when it is converted to a true booster but my first taste of trying to install is sour! The anchor straps on the previous seat for our three kids(Marathon)are easy to use and very secure as they click in and tighten right up rock solid. We have loaned our spare seat to friends and they could not believe how solid and secure thay can get. This seat however, the straps are moved to the back and are nearly impossible to get at to clip and tighten using the anchors. I then used the seat belt pass through and found that in my Toyota Sienna it really only fits well in the right rear seat using the seat belt as a back-up. The seat belt has to make and odd tight connection to click tightly but only after stuffing a towel under the seat. I feel as if it is safe and secure but I really look forward to the booster mode and feel like it will be much easier. It is a comfortable and safe transitional chair, but I could do without the engineering change to move the anchor straps which seems like the only reason was to make way for cup holders.
